If something isn't right rarely) they will make it right and do whatever is necessary to accommodate you. Love the live music that starts every spring. Shorts are acceptable attire. A nice relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Crystal Gomez is doing things in Cuero that we can’t even find in the big cities. There is no premade frozen chicken fried steak folks; she trims cuts pounds and hand breads a huge CFD that looks like steak in a wonderful breading with incredible gravy. But let me get to the reason that they use cloth napkins and real tablecloth’s and attentive waiters. This place has some of the best seafood around anywhere. Super light breading on the fried shrimp that lets the shrimp flavor come through. The mac cheese, oh my!, well you just gotta try it. The red snapper oh my goodness the snapper is a huge thick piece of fish that taste like snapper and then is covered in a sauce that you just need a spoon for And included grilled shrimp!! Truly some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. Oh and don’t forget the crab dip. We also had the wedge salad which is why we were just too full to even think about desserts. But next time!
What a wonderful steak house in Cuero! Our Prime Rib was perfect medium Rare. The crabcake appetizer was as delicate as sweet crabs delicious meat. Service was excellent. Whoever is responsible for this little jewel knows what they do! Thank you.
I give this restaurant 4 stars for its location in Cuero, as options beyond fast food are somewhat limited. I've visited twice and tried the double steakburger both times. While the taste isn't particularly memorable, it could benefit from some additional seasoning to enhance its flavor. The quality of the meat appears to be good, but the overall taste has a subtle undertone that doesn’t leave a lasting impression. The presentation is impressive, setting high expectations for the experience, only to leave you wanting more. The menu is quite appealing as well.
I was relieved I hadn’t brought my entire family. The menu isn’t very kid-friendly, and if I had brought all my children, it would have been a challenge—actually, I would have had to sign over my car title just to cover the bill! Since it was just my daughter and me, we managed just fine. I ordered her a cheeseburger with fries, while I opted for a shrimp salad. Both meals were delicious (I even snagged a bite of the cheeseburger). I would definitely return, but probably only with my wife next time—and I’ll make sure to wear proper pants!
