Ichiban Steak And Sushi - Cumming

It had been over a year since I last visited, and my recent experience confirmed why we stopped going. We paid $30 for two chicken bento boxes, and that was after a 20% lunch discount! It took over 25 minutes to receive our food after I placed the order over the phone, which seemed odd since there were only a few customers present. The poor hostess was stretched thin, juggling multiple tasks including packaging our food. The chicken was sparse and tough, but the flavor was decent. The small rolls and dumplings were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the salad was extremely basic—just a few leaves of lettuce, some carrot slices, and a very watery dressing. On the positive side, the rice was perfectly cooked. These days, there are plenty of other options for hibachi and sushi. Honestly, dining here feels like a waste of money. I really miss the Ichiban from its prime.

There were ten of us at the table, and everyone's food was flavorless and bland. When we received our bill, my son was charged for an adult meal, and the waiter took no action to correct it. What was supposed to be a pleasant birthday dinner turned out to be quite the opposite, and I left feeling hungry. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I absolutely adored this restaurant! My kids enjoyed their filet, chicken, and salmon hibachi, along with the fried rice! I was thrilled with my sushi platter and a glass of wine. Everything was so fresh, and the presentation was beautiful! We will definitely be back. We've created so many wonderful memories while enjoying fantastic food here! This was our first visit to this location. Chef was very kid friendly. Food was GREAT!This was the first time our kids have been to a hibachi steakhouse. They were a little nervous about the fire at first, but then they started to absolutely love it. They now want to find a place local to us to go to and try it.

Atmosphere and service were meh, food was alright when I went. Recent reports that they're forcing servers to pay for dine dish make me feel like it needs a re-review.Food: 4/5
