Pizza Centro - Cuyamungue

Got a slice. This is some of the best pizza I have had in my life.

This was my first experience with flash-fried eggplant on a pizza, and I'm so glad I gave it a shot. It pairs wonderfully with mushrooms, creating a unique flavor profile for the pizza. The service was also quite fast!

I've always enjoyed the simple pizza here—cheese, pepperoni, pineapple, and green chile—even though the staff often seem less than enthusiastic. Recently, I decided to treat myself to the Alphabet City pizza after hearing so many coworkers rave about it. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when I got home and opened the box. The spinach was crispy and slightly burnt, the crust was bubbly and charred, yet somehow still raw inside. This was definitely not the usual quality of pizza I expect from this place, and certainly not worth the $30+ price tag. In short, the classic pizza is great, but the specialty pizza is overpriced and overrated.

My wife and I sampled pizzas around Santa Fe, and Pizza Centro stands out as the best. It truly brings to mind the pizza places in NY, and we absolutely love it.
