Was here a few times for a pub lunch, very good food and good selection of meals to choose from. Staff is friendly and welcoming

We took our 95-year-old mother/grandmother out for lunch. She is in a wheelchair and has a limited appetite, but she still loves getting out of the nearby care home. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. The food is traditional pub fare—delicious, well-presented, and very reasonably priced. The pub/restaurant was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. The pub is quite decent, but there are no cask ales available, just a lot of popular options from the big red brand. The bottled Newcastle Brown Ale is a reasonable alternative.
