Hunky's - Dallas

Charming 1950s-style diner with a friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. I had a cheeseburger and fried pickles. The cheeseburger was a good size and quite filling, but it was a bit greasier than I prefer. The fried pickles were okay, though they could have been crispier, as they were somewhat limp. Overall, I would return, but I might opt for a different dish next time.

This is definitely a classic burger done right. It's neither overly tidy nor messy, striking a nice balance. The lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes are cold and fresh, complementing the mustard and soft, fresh bun beautifully. The beef is high quality, flavorful, and served hot enough that you can feel the warmth through the buns. I added bacon to my cheeseburger, and it had the perfect texture.

This restaurant was quite enjoyable! We tried the Texas Cheeseburger and the Hickory Cheeseburger, and both were very juicy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and provided excellent customer service. I would give this place a solid 4.5 stars. I took off half a star because I've had better milkshakes, and the fries could have used a bit more seasoning. However, I would definitely return to try a different shake!

Stopped by Friday after school pickup. Two great meat free options, impossible burger and black bean patty. They did have kids options even though not visible on online menu, daughter not fully vegan so she had traditional burger. Staff were so friendly and came to check on us a couple times. Quick service, plenty of parking in front, on side and behind the shopping strip. Outdoor seating available. Will be on our short list of Friday dinners for sure

Yummy in the tummy! There are vegan options here and of course, plenty of non-vegan ones. I had a vegan(impossible) burger and my woman had the black bean burger and they were both fantastic with the sweet potato fries. Definitely a good place to stop in between errands.
