Idlerye - Dallas

I went for brunch. Food was okay. Large portions for sure but not the best brunch I've had. I ordered the bacon and eggs which also came with greens, breakfast potatoes and toast. I ate everything except the salad. The dressing had a weird taste. My friend ordered the same thing but she barely ate the bacon. I guess she thought it was weird and too fatty. My other friend decided to just drink the mimosas and bellini's. Apparently those were a hit bc she couldn't stop ordering them lol. I probably won't be back. Service was amazing though.

Oh my! Bar top dinners are always the best! We had appetizers the entire night of course, our usual drinks! Old fashions for us. Bartenders made us a new drink, quite delectable! Our appetizers consisted of crispy crab cakes pierogi. Hands down, the crispy crab cakes were AMAZING! Could of eaten those ALL NIGHT. Def will be back!

Start the meal with Appetizers. Had the crabcakes and the shrimp. The crabcakes were cooked a little differently than I'm used to but they were really good. I don't know what they used on them to make it dark but it wasn't bad. I did enjoy those crabcakes. The shrimp, I didn't too much care for. It had kind of a frozen food taste going on. I'm not sure if it was because they used farm raised instead of wild caught shrimp. The cod was delicious. I loved loved the seasoning but it was cold in the center. That was such a disappointment. We also tried their Bread pudding . I am a hard critic of bread pudding and I really like their bread pudding! The only complaint on it is that it also, was cold in the middle. I would love to try this place again. Service was great and the only thing that I can complain about is the cold food.

It's hard too give this spot 3 stars because of the great service and I will definitely try it again but too many items came from the kitchen cold. The appetizers which were fried shrimp and crab cakes which were the hottest item we received. They were both tasty and unique in how they were prepared. Now too the entrees. The cod was tasty and prepared well but it was very lukewarm and the broccolini was COLD. The crawfish ravioli was very cool and the texture seemed like it was undercooked. The bread pudding had such a wonderful taste until I reached the middle and it wasn't warm all the way through. I'll definitely return because off the great customer service and the potential too be better but this first visit fell flat because of what I'm used too at restaurants.

Came here today for the first time based on you, Yelpers. Your pics and reviews brought us in. The food wasn't bad we had the pierogies which were as good as any I have had in Chicago. They come with a sour cream sauce and a melted butter. Go with the butter. The house **** Mary mix was strong and very seafood cocktail sauce ish. If you like cocktail sauce you will be in business. I had the ridiculous sausage sandwich of which plenty of pics are posted here. It had a strange herbal taste to it (maybe fennel? which wasn't for me but maybe for others. Not bad but kinda overhyped. Very pricey.
