The French Room - Dallas

The only critique we have is that the dessert cakes were quite sweet and there were too many of them for our taste. However, they paired well with the tea. Next time we're in town, we'll plan to take some extras back to our hotel so they don't go to waste. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and it was the perfect way to end our trip to Dallas.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite having tried Afternoon Tea all over the world, I found this to be one of the worst I have had. I only received one cup of tea in the span of an hour, and the waitress was talkative but failed to ensure our tea was replenished. The tea sandwiches were dry and lacking in flavor, with barely any cucumber. The dessert was average at best, and I didn't even finish most of it. The scones were also dry and bland. Adding to the disappointment, we were seated in the lobby area instead of the main tea room, missing out on the ambiance of the French Room. We had made reservations months in advance, but the experience did not live up to the hype. Overall, it was not worth the money.

My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to snag a last-minute reservation for afternoon tea at this restaurant. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The hostesses were extremely friendly and even validated our parking, and our servers Pete and James were fantastic. I'm not a tea expert, but I really liked the Oolong and Black teas they served. The tea cakes, pastries, scones, and bottomless champagne were definitely the highlights of the experience. I highly recommend it for a great girls' night out!

I took my 83-year-old grandmother here for tee, she became all the time when she grew up in dallas and would visit the adolphus with her friends and husband in her 20s! we went the entire lobby/coffee shop / rodeo bar / french room areas as we remembered what they used to be before the renovation and all the staff we met were so friendly and go out of their way to original details that remain. connie was our server on tee and she was fantastic, we had several other people who refill our drinks and they were also incredibly pleasant. a young man brought out the tee package so that she can buy it! highly recommended.

We sat and had drinks in the bar that were incredible. it was great for cocktails before dinner. we'll come back when we're in town!
