Sideboard Danville

I’m usually easy to please in the brunch department, so I am disappointed to share that I was underwhelmed here. My husband and I visited on a Friday before noon, not peak weekend brunch time, but the restaurant was very busy. The staff at the counter were professional, but not especially friendly or welcoming even after we said it was our first visit. The employees who delivered our food left a lot to be desired, no smiles and little to no replies when we thanked them and asked one or two questions. The food was better than average, but not worth the crazy hustle and bustle here.

I ordered a $12 veggie scramble and it didn’t come with toast, so I had to order a $7 flaccid “Levain” toast on the side. Good coffee, though.

This place sucks. Used to be good. Loud, scarcity pricing and menu options, unpleasant. To the ownership: please don’t charge an extra $7 for two pieces of toast (you tried to justify the price by calling it “levain toast” . Include toast with breakfast offerings. Turn down your 80’s power ballads.

Excellent indoor/outdoor neighborhood hidden gem in Danville. Great brunch with large portions good pastries. Perfect breakfast spot!

The best spot for breakfast in the East Bay! The eggs Benedict is perfect and served on the most delicious English muffin.
