Sueño - Darby Township

Sueño has a wonderful nightlife vibe. Our waitress Brooke was a delight attentive of our table. Food wise, it was average, it didn't give a wow factor we were highly disappointed with the texture of the tres leches. Aside from that, we still had a wonderful night.

Despite an empty restaurant, they made sure to immediately tell us we had a time limit. Watched a water leak by another table. Not the worst experience by any means, but definitely not somewhere I'd seek to go back to.

The food was outstanding. Had the queso fundido and quesabirria tacos. Bartender was great. Made me a special request cocktail which was tasty. Not crazy about the TVs being on. There were plenty of extra charges and taxes. Not sure if that's a Philly thing. They added 18% gratuity on two person check and I usually give 20% but didn't feel inclined to after having it automatically added.

My nachos were great with fresh ingredients but my party did not like their meals. service was ok. but the reason I give 3 stars is due to the overpriced menu and they have auto gratuity on all orders which I don't recall that being listed on the menu and there's about 3-4 other taxes added. So, just be aware when you patronize this establishment.

The food was very salty, including every sauce. Guacamole was too salty, sauce on the burrito was too salty. The protein was too salty. We politely told the server that the food was too salty. The server said they talked to the kitchen , they “make the food salty so you drink more.”When the bill came, there was a service charge and gratuity (we were a party of 4) 18%. The vibe was off. No wonder the place was empty and always has reservations available. Not coming back, and I don't recommend to come for food, maybe just drinks and then leave!
