406 Saloon - Darby

I wish Yelp had a negative star option, especially for the 406 Saloon. It's unbelievable that they would confront the bride and groom on their wedding day right after the reception dinner, only to leave shortly after because they felt not enough drinks were being sold. This is the epitome of unprofessionalism, disrespect, and rudeness, especially considering they charge $9 for a drink at a makeshift bar serving bottom-shelf liquor. If you have an important event coming up and want to embarrass yourself while insulting your guests' wallets, I highly recommend hiring the 406 Saloon. I sincerely hope they respond to this review and try to make amends after causing such a scene on what should have been the happiest day of someone's life.

I would rather throw my money away than spend it at 406 Saloon. Having grown up in the Bitterroot, I’ve never encountered such unprofessionalism in a business before. They were hired to cater my friend's wedding, and the way they treated the bride was absolutely outrageous. The groom had to step in to resolve the situation, which negatively affected their big day. It's astonishing to see how a business from out of state can have such low standards. Since they’re new to Montana, I don’t think they’ll last long. The food is already known to be subpar and unappetizing. 406 Saloon should leave our wonderful valley.

I ordered the Fish and Chips, and when the breading came off, the fish was slimy and gooey on the inside. The manager insisted that it was fine and did not offer to replace it with something else. Instead, she only offered to give me a credit for the piece I hadn’t touched. This was completely unacceptable, and I will never eat there again.

The food is way above expectations and the staff is friendly as heck. Atmosphere is unique, love it. Will be here a lot.

We drove from Missoula just so my partner could eat and drink here. I'd been into the restaurant once before and was blown away. To start out, let me be clear that the restaurant next door is INCREDIBLE. The service is top notch, with servers who know the menu well and are happy to relay their specials and drink selections to patrons. Savannah was particularly amazing and we are so thrilled to have gotten to be her table for the night. On the other hand, the bartender next door was one of the angriest people I've ever been served by. Twice the age of our server with half the manners. She made it very clear when we came next door after our dinner that she was annoyed we were at her bar. As my partner and I are both in the service industry, we assumed she was just having a rough day. After two drinks, sitting quietly while I read a book and my partner scrolled on his phone, she informed us she was refusing us future service on the basis of being from out of town. I asked and she confirmed we didn't seem intoxicated and we're not exhibiting any poor behavior. She just didn't want to serve us anymore. An incredibly disappointing end to our out of town adventure and excitement to bring money to somewhere other than Missoula. Highly recommend eating next door but cannot recommend the bar itself until she's trained better. The saloon across the street is very friendly ;
