Star Fresh - Dartmouth

Forget Burnside eatery's, there is a new spot in town called StarFresh Modern Diner.

It appears that the restaurant may have closed down, which is a big letdown for the Burnside Park neighborhood.

A quaint little spot in Burnside is gaining recognition for its delicious homemade dishes. The soups, sandwiches, and salads all appear appetizing.

Small menu, but it always includes options for herbivores, omnivores, and those with gluten issues. Staff are always friendly. Never had a bad meal there, and been there 20 times.

As a restauranteure/chef i would say this is the only place on the dartmouth side to have a fresh, affordable and healthy meal that EXPLODES with flavour. Clearly this isnt the first time theyve done this. The order at the counter system works well if you are limited for time and the menu is short and sweet and changed daily so as to be fresh. Today i had the "plate breakfast" with sausage, eggs, toast or scone and homefries that were perfectly done. Everything sounded so delicious i ordered take out for my lunch AND dinner because i just had to try the rosemary chicken with quinoa side and the power salad which is awesome and has a killer homemade dressing. The housemade soups are always delicious and today it was "curried spinach and chickpea" OMG. If you like vegetarian options, fresh herbs and spices as well as gluten free options and HOMEMADE baked goods/desserts....this is the ONLY and BEST place in Dartmouth. When im too tired to cook and want a full rounded meal....this is the one place in dartmouth i actually get excited about.
