Spice Of Himalaya - Darwin

The Spice of Himalaya offers dishes with amazing flavors. We ordered the Sangada Cheat expecting a simple samosa dish. What we got was outstanding - samosas swimming in a delicious vegetable sauce.

We had thali for lunch and it was very good, so went back the next day for a repeat. Certainly weren't disappointed. Restaurant clean, staff friendly. Well worth a try if you like spicy food, even though they will tone it down for you if required.

Ate at this cafe the other day, was really surprised at the quality of the food. Great tasting, could improve the service a little, but plenty to look on in Mitchell Street while you are waiting.

I think the chef has graduated to a magician! The photos tell the story, see the scrape marks from my spoon? Couldn't get enough, medium spice, full-on flavors! Vegetarian Tali, creamy, spicy, complex and satisfying...And no, I don't know the owners, just know the food, and it's my highlight when I come to Darwin, almost better than that "other pleasure" that others put on the top of the list. Maybe a slight exaggeration, lol.

I get take-away from these guys regularly, once a week at leas and they never disappoint. Excellent service every time and the food is amazing! So much flavour. Probably a little bit expensive but that's normal for Darwin and I don't mind paying it because of the exceptional quality of the food and service :) Will keep coming back!
