Our main reason for visiting Datia was to see the Bir Singh Deo Palace, a highlight of the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. After exploring the bustling and chaotic bazaar, we stumbled upon a newly opened restaurant. The service staff seemed inexperienced, as there were only two occupied tables and our server seemed a bit lost. However, the prices were reasonable and the masala dosa we ordered was delicious. There are limited dining options in Datia, especially for those looking to escape the sweltering heat, so I would recommend this restaurant as a good choice.

We stopped in Datia yesterday while driving back from Sagar, MP to Jaipur, India. My prime interest was in visiting the Bir Singh Deo Palace that's rightly a highlight of the bundelkhand region of MP. After the visit and walking through the noisy chaotic bazaar area, we came to this newly opened restaurant. The service staff is clearly not used to dealing with a few people - there were just two tables occupied and something as simple as a salt lassi took a while to arrive. The prices are competitive and the dishes we ordered (masala dosa) were well done. There are very few alternatives to eat in Datia if you need to sit down and are looking for an aircon space to escape the oppressive heat so I'd recommend this place.
