Clancy's Tavern - Dayton

Went in on a Saturday night about 530, table of 4. There were maybe 7 other tables in the restaurant. We were notified kitchen wait was about 45 min. Ok, that's fine. Ordered fried food only. After almost an hour and a half, still no food. Asked the server if there was any update and she said the kitchen was starting on it. Starting on it?? 10 minutes later she still couldn't give us an update. We asked to cancel our order as we had somewhere to be. The server was not happy with that. Didn't offer discount on our appetizer, or anything to make up for the inconvenience. I understand everyone is understaffed, but over 1.5 hrs for fried food?? Unacceptable

If you're looking for a good neighborhood Tavern with solid food and friendly service, Clancys is definitely for you. The kitchen can be a tad slow at times, especially on Fri and Sat nights but the food is good, the beer is cold and servers are attentive. Go check it out!!

Great for watching football or getting some wings. I think they need some more cooks cause food service is a tad slow but it's okay cause I had more time to chat with my friends and family.

I actually really love this place but the wait time for food is so ridiculous when they aren't even that busy. I ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings...received my burger and onion rings five minutes later. Something just needs to change. A Bar Rescue would be great for Clancys

New to the area. First timers.. 45 minutes on the kitchen, totally fine we were going to drink and have a fun time. They were out of Ribs on the menu, bartender said they stopped serving Ribs a year ago. Menu not up to date. And with covid?? Bartenders playing with their hair while serving customers. Not a good experience. We won't be back. Bartender didn't like the music being played so turned up the tv volume and down the music.
