It was great! I wish we had done it at harvest time. The design of the horses was beautiful, but too far away for a good picture. Park Ranger Haney was great!

This place was awesome and completely free (they accept donations). The staff was extremely knowledgable and entertaining. I would definitely recommend the house tour and chuckwagon tour. The covered wagon/horse tour was also nice, but I believe it only happens on Mondays. Many of the staff are cowboys and know how to lasso. They are happy to teach you if you ask!

We were lucky enough to visit the ranch on day when they were haying. Everything on the ranch follows the customs from the early 1900s and watching them use the beaver slide didn't disappoint. We were also fortunate to sit beside a lady whose father built over 50 beaver slides. She was a walking Wikipedia source. We did the house tour and most of the facilities. We spent about 2.5 hours and didn't see everything.

Beautiful, well maintained, demonstration ranch. Staff volunteers were so kind, informative, friendly. Tour the main house FIRST. That will set you up to learn history, culture, geography here. And maybe get a cup of Cowboy Coffee!
