Masamune Japanese - Deerfield Beach

I am completely appalled by our order. For $18, we received just six tiny, paper-thin slices of tuna, and the rice-based dish didn't even contain any rice! I will definitely not be ordering from this place again.

This is a genuine Japanese bar, and the food is exceptionally delicious. I will definitely return.

We tried the Japanese-style raw oysters, which are one of my favorites, as well as whitefish and yellowtail sashimi (I preferred the yellowtail). The spicy conch salad was very good, and the miso soup was enjoyable too. The snow crab California roll was okay, while the shrimp and vegetable tempura was delicious. However, I wasn't overly impressed with the chrysanthemum tempura—the leaves weren't great. The chrysanthemum dish reminded me of another restaurant that used to offer parsley tempura. It may sound strange, but it has a slightly crunchy texture, almost like a fresh potato chip. The tempura is a bit oily, but it's definitely worth sharing at the table. The staff here are very friendly, and I can't wait to try more items from the menu again. I do wish they were open for lunch, but I can see this becoming one of my go-to restaurants whenever I'm in town.

The nigiri is from this world and its specialties are particularly delicious. Every bite is well done and so unbelievable. Very suggest to sit at the Sushi Bar! Your hot dishes and izakaya braces are also really great. This is a jewel of a Japanese restaurant with something on the menu for everyone. Update to add: You also do Omakase after reservation and it?s INCREDIBLE. The boss/owner puts a lot of care in every bite and it is clear that he is a lot of pride for what he does. It is better quality and value than Grandmakase from other places and he makes it such a wonderful experience. I can't say enough about how wonderful her grandmakase is. Whether you? re looking for a special event like Omakase or a normal night with incredible food, Masamune is hands down my favorite Japanese restaurant. Do you feel like you in Japan?

Food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked/prepared. We had Yaki soba, Yaki udon, Kake udon soup, combo sushi, chicken katsu. Everything was delicious. Chicken katsu was perfectly cooked: not dry at all, moist inside and crispy outside. Mochi and matcha ice cream was so good. Kids loved it all. Waiting staff were also amazing. Will definitely visit again.
