Írjon visszajelzéstFound this place with Google for Jain food in Dehradoon. Very disappointed with the experience. Although the owner tried to accommodate Jain dietary requirements, but the quality of food was below par. To begin with place is not clean and quite dated. Furniture, walls, fans, fixtures, washroom all looked very old and dirty. Glimpse in the kitchen very dirty. Rice and daal were not properly cooked. Tandoori roties have fragments of coal from tandoor. When asked from the owner and the cooks they were unable to tell what kind of oil, or other ingredients they are using. Jain food is renowned for its extremely conscious practice of hygienic preparation of fresh food with filtered water but unfortunately this place doesn't seem to care about that. Even upon feedback they don't feel receptive. Pricing is at par with any fine dining restaurant with an average 200+ per item. May be its in a busy railway station area so they get budget traveling customers who are not repeat for fine dining. Won't recommend anyone going there thinking to specifically get Jain food. They definitely have a potential to improve the overall quality and become a go to place for fine dining for vegetarian customers and tourists.
The Tea House being reviewed is The Masala Restaurant not the more infamous JAINA restaurant.Masala restaurant is located next to Jaina. They are 2 different places!!! A home away from home experience@Masala restaurant for aficionados of authentic, well brewed Ginger milk Tea paired with their Butter Dosas! The Tea and the owner with his genial and welcoming smile are the USP of this place !
