Gulab Sweets - Dehradun

Went to their Rispana branch ordered 3 cold coffees. Just an average cold coffee, more like a cold sweetened milk lacking the aroma of Coffee! Since one of my sister's friend had enough time for his Bus departure to Chandigarh, we have no other option nearby than to waste our time in Gulab. We ordered Crispy Chilly Potato next, as what they have mentioned on their menu. The potato seemed stale, worst Chilly potato I ever tasted. The ambiance was ordinary and the prices are high. One of the AC above us was not working and when we asked a waiter to rotate the wall fan towards us, he rudely denied. It seems neither the management was interested in customer comfort nor their staff. Wasted our 440 Rs at Gulab. Will never recommend this place especially Rispana one to anyone!

Costly, average ambiance, and didn't had cake. Tikki was almost raw, I asked chowmein with less veg, he delivered with a lot of veggies.

Except for good sweets. Well, if you are paani puri or chaat lovers. Try it there. Fees are less harder than the other places, but yes you will love it. Especially chaat. The ambience is okay for family visits. But a good place overall. Service is fast. I'll rate it 4 compared to the other sweet shops. I also tried cold coffee and chili mushroom. The taste was average. If you want to spend half an hour to an hour near respana, pull on someone to wait. Gulab Restaurant is a good place for it. Go and enjoy. This place is near the petrol pump or you can say right next to it. Sweets like boondi ke ladoo(desi ghee) are also famous here. If people go there, you can manage within 150-200. This is my personal opinion about it. And max you can output depending on the requirement.

One of the good places in town for a lunch, the owners chose to stick with the basics good taste, affordable price and a decent hygiene. The place is not too fancy so cannot be compared to the lavish restaurants. Still it does the job right and serves good food at an affordable price. Great for office lunch break
