Well, it's real Mexican food. Not my thing but my husband loved it.
The food isn’t worth the wait. They take a long time and they don’t give you the food the way you ask for it.
Really good taco place! Note this review is for the taco truck, there is also a restaurant with the same name (Meches) about 1/4 mile away. Our friend just moved to the area east of Meches Tacos and we visited them and we all decided to go to dinner. My friend had passed by Meches a few times in the day and said we should try it. So we all went in 3 different cars. But now it was dark. We came to Meches Tacos first and our friend said it looked different, she thought it was a restaurant but Meches Tacos is a food truck with a covered eating area. The seating area was bright and clean and the truck looked OK so we decided to order. Our kids weren't sure about it so between 3 of them they just ordered 3 tacos and a side of rice. The adults ordered Quesadillas and 2 tortas. Then the food started coming and now the kids started seeing the adults food and tasted their tacos and they all wanted more food we ended up ordering 3 more tacos and another quesadilla and more rice. The staff must have thought we were crazy. Then our friend's husband turned up and he said he wasn't hungry, but after tasting his wife's food he decided to get an enchilada too verything is great! Just a good roadside taco place!
This used to be my favorite Mexican taco stand; I would stop by every time I passed by. However, my most recent visit was a disappointment. I ordered tripa and al pastor tacos, but the portions were very small—just about a tablespoon of meat, which was cold. The so-called "homemade tortillas" were also cold and hard. The meat had a stale taste and was tough to eat. My kids ordered the bean and cheese tacos, which typically can't go wrong, but even those were served in small portions and didn’t taste good. I was extremely disappointed, and none of us finished our meals. I understand that the restaurant is trying to expand, but sacrificing taste, quality, and portion size is what truly defines a great dining experience.
