Bar Red - Denver

The place seemed cute at first with a small cozy charm but then we realized that they were severely understaffed. There were 2 waiters and after being seated it took them 20 minutes to even acknowledge us. After ordering a glass of wine we were ignored for another 40 minutes since the waiters did not know who had what tables. Then after waiting for an hour with only one glass of wine and no food we were only allowed to order one item at a time. After being there for 2 hours we barely got food and 2 drinks. We hurried to finish our very small and underwhelming meal so we could leave and were still charge for the full 3 course dinner they were advertising even though we did not order or receive that at all. It was a pretty big let down for a valentines day dinner.

We took friends out to a nice dinner as they are moving to Europe. We all really liked this place and were surprise there was almost no one else there. The happy hour wines and drinks were an amazing value and the food was simple, direct, and delicious. We plan to go back and then hit the Diamond next door.

We went here for a New Year’s Eve dinner and it was perfect! We will most definitely be going back whenever we’re in downtown Denver!

Perfect place for us to stop in for dinner before a show at Denver performing arts center. Owner was very personable as well as providing a historical backdrop on the building. Meanie is small as the kitchen, but food was outstanding! Best Manhattan around. Great place.

Bar Red is awesome!!!! The owner is super friendly, the chef is amazing and the bartender/waitress was great! Was a great experience.
