Sussex Circus Fish - Derby

Great value, service and quality fish and chips. Knocks my local places in a cocked hat, i will be going back in the future

We drive to Sussex Circus chippy from the other side of Derby, passing lots of other chippy's on the way, we wouldn't even consider stopping at another chippy after going to this place. Everything is always freshly cooked, the staff are really nice and the prices and portions are excellent. Beware of the Cod, they are huge and perfectly cooked, have your best appetite at the ready if you call in for large Cod, Chips Peas!

The best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Crispy golden batter,well done chips and peas still hot. I don't have a good appetite since Covid and a have a delicate stomach. Delicious and a good price. Tasted like the ones at the seaside.

During my recent visit to this restaurant in the area, I noticed a significant price increase for my usual mini fish, chips and peas meal. What used to cost around £3.70 has now gone up to £5. While I understand the need for businesses to raise prices due to increased expenses, a £1.30 hike in just a couple of weeks was surprising. Although the new price puts it in line with other nearby fish and chip shops, I was disappointed to see that the portions had been reduced by half. I appreciate the quality of the food, but paying more for less is not ideal. Sadly, I will not be returning anytime soon. Thank you and farewell.
