Panera Bread - Des Moines

I visit this place frequently and have never encountered any issues—until today. When I arrived, the restaurant was very busy, and everyone had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for their food, regardless of when they placed their orders. I noticed that all the staff were doing their best to keep things moving despite the delays, so I took my place in line and patiently waited. Unfortunately, some customers were quite rude about the situation. One woman even went back to the counter to complain and began yelling at an employee, despite him explaining that he was part of the delivery team and not involved in preparing the food. I was really impressed by how each employee remained calm, cheerful, and polite throughout the ordeal. This has left a good impression on me, and I will likely continue to visit this restaurant regularly.

Panera is always a reliable choice for a nice lunch that isn't fast food. We were in the city for a football event and needed something that would satisfy our players without weighing them down. The salads and soups are a great option—they're filling and come in generous portions. This definitely won't be our first or last visit to Panera! They offer delicious breads and pastries, whether you choose to eat in or take out. With soups, salads, and sandwiches available, it's all set in a lovely downtown atmosphere right across from the Hotel Fort Des Moines.

The restaurant is situated in a lovely downtown location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was visually appealing, aromatic, and delicious. We enjoyed the Chicken Tortellini, Mac and Cheese, Summer Corn Cutter, and the special tea. I highly recommend trying the Hibiscus tea!

Everything here is so delicious! Friendly service and your order is ready quickly. This Panera is accessible for the Skywalk take elevator to Davis Brown Lobby and it is right there). So nice to go for lunch without having to wear a coat when it's freezing out! Stop for breakfast or lunch and you will be happy.

Love it hear. The employees here are very kind and respectful to all the guest and the food is excellent here. I also love the positive vibes of this place when just sitting and relaxing while either waiting on your order or eating and drinking the meals you have ordered here.
