Star - Des Moines

I absolutely love this spot for a solo dining experience. Everything I've tasted from the menu has been fantastic. The service is quick, and there’s never been an awkward bartender!

Every single dish was absolutely amazing. I'm so happy we chose to celebrate our friend's birthday here. Just look at that chocolate cake!

Considering the limited late-night dining options in Des Moines, Star Bar stands out as one of the few places where you can enjoy a hearty meal, even at an unconventional hour. We sampled nearly everything on the menu and found each dish to be just as described. One of our favorite offerings remains the Star Burger—a delicious bacon cheeseburger crafted with fresh ingredients that deliver excellent flavor. Typically, we opt to substitute regular fries with garlic parmesan hummus. The beer selection at Hahn changes throughout the year, but we haven't spotted their Oktoberfest special in a while. The service is reliable, as others have mentioned, and there's ample parking available behind the restaurant.

The jambalaya was great, the burgers were so good, and our server was fantastic. Will diffently be back to a very good restaurant.

Went there for Easter brunch, and it was pretty good, the eggs were very running with a lot of water in them, everything else was quite tasty
