Foran's Grand Trunk Pub - Detroit

I can't wait to return, especially when Shawn is working! He's an incredible bartender, and the food was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was just right. I really wish I had asked Shawn about his schedule because he made my experience at the bar perfect!

This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in downtown Detroit. The food is incredibly well-crafted, featuring mastery in recipes like the mouthwatering variations of eggs Benedict, all complemented by an exquisite sauce. The cocktail selection is fantastic as well! The butter-washed Bourbon Old Fashioned, infused with cinnamon, is truly addictive, closely followed by the Not Your Garden Variety Bloody Mary, which comes with an impressive array of vegetables, including delightful pickled asparagus. The ambiance is beautiful, set in a historic space that was once a jewelry shop and later a Grand Trunk Railway Ticket Station. You'll find it hard to choose a favorite staff member—they're all wonderful!

My friends and I decided to stop for drinks after arriving in Detroit, and despite the gloomy weather, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. We found it was happy hour, which offered fantastic deals. We opted for the Reuben Slider and sampled a few local beers, choosing from an extensive list that included some options at half price during happy hour. We settled in the loft area, where we had a great view of the whole restaurant. The service was quick and attentive, and our food arrived quickly, fresh, and steaming hot. The Reuben sliders were absolutely out of this world—a perfect snack after our long flight. The smoked meat was incredibly tender and juicy, and the rolls were soft with a deliciously crispy, roasted butter crust. They paired wonderfully with the beers. We couldn't help but notice the other dishes being served to nearby tables; they smelled amazing! We enjoyed our experience so much that we wanted to return the next day. Unfortunately, it was game day for the Tigers, and the place was packed with a long wait. It’s clearly a popular spot! Overall, we had a wonderful experience, making it a fantastic way to kick off our trip to Detroit!

Really great, friendly service and solid breakfast food! Chill vibes. Definitely try the Corned Beef Eggrolls with the 1000 Russians sauce.
