New Center Eatery - Detroit

Grandma Hudson’s has truly impressed me with their South Georgian-style waffles – they are the best I've ever tasted! The chicken is large and beautifully cooked, golden and flaky, and the hot sauce is simply perfect.

We went for breakfast and had to wait in a long line for about 30 minutes before we could even place our order. After ordering, we found a seat and our food arrived around 30 minutes later. We enjoyed omelettes, which were delicious! The wait was worth it. The staff was attentive and worked diligently, and I really appreciated their efforts. However, I must mention that entering through the front door, which had a broken window and an unpleasant smell, almost made me want to leave right away. I'm glad we chose to stay!

Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s absolutely amazing! They serve the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had, along with a variety of other dishes, including delicious soul food. The greens and macaroni and cheese are particularly tasty! Overall, this restaurant is fantastic!!!

This visit was fantastic. I always enjoyed eating here, the chicken and the waffles are no second. This visit to the service, if you are going to be okay, was fast (usually a little too slow for me) the waitress was great and the food was excellent. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed. Not a very big place, but I'm sure everyone has fun.

Best chicken and waffles hands down! Everything on the menu is delicious and I always have really nice servers when I'm in there. That chicken is so well seasoned and piping hot! I wish the place was bigger but I don't care, I'm still a fan. Keep up the great work, this restaurant is a gem.
