O'scugnizzo - DIAMANTE

We chose the restaurant because it appeared that the owner was the cook; a traditional Italian Mama. We had the mixed seafood antipasti and it was enormous. Would have done us for the meal, but we ordered more food as well. It was all very good except one item which we think she pulled out of the freezer. It makes sense to doublecheck at these seaside towns that the fish is fresh and just order what is not frozen. But we loved our meal here and the host and her daughter joined us for a long chat (in Italian, which we don't speak afterwards which we thoroughly enjoyed. I trust Mama and would eat here again (we spotted her turning away a local fisherman with his bucket not up to her standards!

We stumbled upon this place and we delighted with their menu which we didn't see we were offered a choice via the waitress who turned out to be the daughter of the owner a lovely family run place .We had total seafood and all was good . The owner and chef originally of from Naples came out for a grand chat which added to the ambiance and enjoyment of our visit . We were offered Limoncello which we gladly accepted . The place is very tastefully decorated and clean we were very happily impressed

Don't let the outside looks fool you. This is a good place for an honest and authentic meal. Maybe the owner likes a chat a little bit to much, but if you are in Diamante, it is a recommendable adress.

Ottima cucina, servizio rapido, pesce freschissimo. La signora Cecilia, oltre che brava e scattante, è anche molto, molto simpatica. Gli ospiti di Roma la ringraziano!

Il locale è a conduzione familiare. Sia la proprietaria che la figlia sono delle persone squisite, il cibo è ottimo e le porzioni abbondanti. Provare x credere
