We had a great eating experience in this small, family-run restaurant. I booked it mainly because it was open on Monday night, while many others did not, but I would go back anytime. we sat outside on a warm september night and. if beautiful, the occasional traffic down, the road can be quite loud. eating was excellent and good value for money. we chose the three cursor formula for each euro 44. the oeufs meurette starter and the trust rindfleisch bouruignon were excellent and my colleague said his snickers desert was the best he ever had. we had a bottle of Crozes-Hermitage 2018 for euro 30, which was a good value for money. can definitely recommend this place.
Eating was absolutely not disappointed, but we were treated very rudely by the moment we arrived. our group consists of a native speaker and a flowing French speaker and two English speakers. we communicated with the employees in French, but understandably our discussions were in English. we were not loud or angry at the least, but we felt like we were an inconvenience. the young server was beautiful, but her manager had a problem with us from any reason and cried us out of the whole restaurant (the other diners with a quiet dinner) a mask up to move from a chair so close to the open door, they could keep their head in front of the restaurant. we also understand that we understand the need to observe government rules and were happy to fulfill, but would have appreciated to be politely asked instead of from 7 ft. I am not sure that the manager understood that we have spoken a good level of French because we could hear them speak badly of us from the kitchen. Overall, it has simply made our culinary experience unpleasant, which is so a scandal as eating was amazing and most people we met in dijon were so friendly and welcome for tourists. we live in paris full time, so this is not the question to be used for differences in customer service in different cultures, as we are used for a less peppy experience than they would get in other countries.
Very good food and wine, very productive eating extremely small portions. I personally went hungry for a twenty euro main course.
This is a pleasant little restaurant well situated on a side street. The starters were excellent with generous portions. Duck was also good though the attempt to make a strawberry desert original failed. Pleasant service but no glasses with the wine and hard to attract...the waitress. Then glasses for the second wine but no wine itself. Mostly success in the kitchen but understaffed front of house. Would recommend it though
