The service was extremely slow. The restaurant space is small, but the temperature was uncomfortably warm. They could have easily fixed this by opening a window. Additionally, you could smell the unpleasant bathroom air freshener while eating. I recommend finding another place to eat.
I typically do not do this, but I feel it is necessary to share my experience. Last week, a group of 7 clean-cut adult Ebikers, including myself, were riding the Cabot Trail. When we arrived in Dingwall, some of our batteries were running low. We came across Angie's on TripAdvisor and decided to stop for lunch and inquire about using their outlets to charge our bikes, which we were willing to pay for. There were no other customers in the restaurant when we arrived, and the staff member informed us that Angie would be back soon. When Angie returned, it was clear that we intended to dine there as one of our group members had already picked up menus. However, Angie seemed displeased when we asked about paying to charge our bikes, even though we only needed a couple of regular sockets and were willing to pay for the electricity. She stated that she did not have any outlets available and was not very helpful. She suggested we try the museum located a quarter mile up the road. It was evident that the restaurant had electricity, unlike some remote locations we had encountered without power. Despite there being no other customers and no cars in the parking lot, Angie was unwilling to accommodate us, even though we were willing to pay. We ended up going to the museum where they were happy to assist us for a donation, and we decided to purchase food and drinks elsewhere. Overall, we found Angie to be unfriendly and unhelpful, which was unexpected in Canada. We were disappointed with our experience and would have appreciated better customer service.
During our drive along the Cabot Trail, we made a stop at the charming Angie's Family Restaurant. Luckily, we were able to find a table and our server Molly provided excellent service. The chowder was delicious, a must-try dish. The lobster rolls were also excellent. My personal favorite was the unique Lobster Club sandwich. I recommend giving it a try, as Angie and her staff will ensure you are well taken care of.
A nice surprise, good food, sweet decor and would recommend. Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly. We had the fish cakes and fish and chips both awesome. The tea biscuit that came with the fish cakes was amazing.
Came here on a Monday in September 2021 because this is the only restaurant in the area that's open early afternoon. It's a relatively small dining area with 20 seats spread over 4 tables, but they do offer takeout as well. There was only one person working front of house, so it was a bit of a wait to be seated (since she had to manage other tables and clean up the fourth table) and order, but she was very pleasant and friendly. We ordered the jalapeno poppers [tasty], onion rings [average], chicken wrap platter [good, and on special for $13.95], and the Nor'easter [very tasty, as the waitress promised, I was not disappointed lol]. Overall this was a solid meal, and I'd recommend coming here, especially because it's the only restaurant open midday on Monday in the area.
