Cafe Hendrix - Dishpur

Whenever I visit guwahati I make sure I pay a visit to this restaurant, a theme based restaurant all about Jimi Hendrix, opposite pantaloons. Things I like Good food Nice staff Great ambience Good place to drink and live jams at Saturdays.

It's not ideal for family outings, but the service is quick and friendly. The atmosphere caters more towards a younger crowd.

After reading the reviews and seeing the 4-star rating, I decided to visit this restaurant. I was not disappointed - they had a wide variety of liquor brands available. The restaurant was bustling with teenagers. If you go to the top floor, you can enjoy live music from a band. The floor below does not have live music, but prices are 20% cheaper. The snacks were average in taste, but the atmosphere and music were lively. The restaurant is open until midnight and the prices for drinks and snacks are competitive. I deducted 1 point from my rating because there is a 20% adhoc charge for live entertainment on Fridays through Sundays. Overall, I think it's worth a second visit.

Visited this place with a friend in the afternoon hours. Although the lighting is way too dim to actually enjoy the murals and pictures around, the place really makes it up with the choice of music that it plays. The tender was kind enough to play our choice of music when requested. The food is really good. The recommendations are also right on money. We did try the famous Drums of heaven and weren't disappointed. The bamboo shoot chicken was really spicy. The pricing is decent. The major drawback: only one washroom that too at the entry level.
