Írjon visszajelzéstIf you want to relax with friends in a gorgeous natural setting, this is the place for you. Just be prepared to wait, as the service is slow. If you plan on having drinks, I recommend ordering from Jorabat itself. The food is delicious, but the service could use some improvement. The ambiance, however, is fantastic.
I wanted to write about Deka Saang and its delicious food, but unfortunately, they did not make an effort to serve our orders on time. We waited for an hour without any acknowledgement from the staff. We visited Deka Saang during lunchtime and waited in one of their booths. After placing our orders, we continued to wait for our food. Another family arrived and placed their orders, but both families continued to wait endlessly. Eventually, the men in our group became too impatient and decided to leave without eating. Despite ordering the same dishes, the other family received their food before us. After waiting for 5 minutes, we decided to cancel our orders and leave. It seems like Deka Saang did not value our business.
Despite the service delay, the resort is situated in a picturesque setting with lush greenery and a serene pond to admire. If you're seeking a leisurely outing on a lazy Sunday afternoon, this could be the perfect spot for you. Keep in mind that the prices are relatively high compared to local standards in Sonapur.
Deka Chang resort, located in the mushrooming 'resort country' of Sonapur, is one for lovers of traditional cooking. Much in the nature of the people and the region, this resort also moves in a very 'lahe lahe'(slow paced) mood. The food, however, is quite good. Particular mention to the traditional style of sunga (hollow bamboo) cooking, which is the USP of the resort. We simply loved the sunga pork here and the rest of the usual suspects too were passable. Be warned, though, that service, as I mentioned earlier, is snail paced. Took them almost two hours to put the food on our tables. However, the resort is set in beautiful locales, with green lawns and a duck pond to wile away time (not to mention a tea estate nearby). So, if y're looking for an outing on a lazy Sunday afternoon, this might just be the right place!P.S It is not cheap (by Sonapur standards).
If u want to hang out friends in a nice natural environment, this is the place.but do remember to have lots of time in hand because the service is SLOW...and if u have plans on drinking , i suggest to buy ur drinks from jorabat itself..the food is good, service is bad , ambience is great.
