River's Edge Inn - Dixon

The food is good, the atmosphere is missing. There is a lot of potential at this point. The service was good, prices fair. Update 5-27 This time the atmosphere fits to the food! The only reason for 4 stars is because we demanded water without ice and were taken up with ice and were barely cooked despite the application for crispy haash browns. Still good, but not up to two requests. Will try again when in town and hope to get this 4 on 5! It is a nice diner fare, recommended.

From the outside you might think this was a bait shop or warehouse, but once inside it’s a really friendly place, with great views over the river. We were there on a Sunday lunchtime, and it was nicely busy, and it was fun watching the boats going up and down stream. Food was good and service friendly, definitely a place to try again!

Probably the best burger I have had in awhile. Came mid afternoon and hardly anyone in the place but it created a very relaxing atmosphere. Potato salad homemade very good. Even liked the fries not normally a fan. Wonderful wait staff.

Had a great lunch, tenderloin with mashed potatoes and dark brown gravy. Very good. Our Waitress was great, on the ball and very attentive. Great value. We'll be back.

What can I say? This is a wonderful spot right by the river. The service is fantastic, with friendly servers who are easy to chat with. They provided great suggestions for us first-time customers...
