Good food, great service and a nice dinning area are the core aspects of Betsey's/dots that has made this place a staple for years. We visit every time we are in the area
Stopped here our first morning in Dover. Read some bad reviews, but decided to give it a try. Very pleasant staff. Both meals were well prepared and tasty. Glad we didn't let the reviews sway us from giving them a try. My wife is a huge fan of bread, and she loved their Sunflower bread.
This is a lovely spot right on VT-100 with quick and friendly service. Our waitress, who hails from New York, was delightful. I highly recommend trying the Mimosa Flight, Cajun Skillet, and Chili Benedict. The Chili Benedict is a must-try; it's a fantastic blend of flavors, and the cornbread perfectly balances sweetness and saltiness. The Sunflower Toast was also intriguing and delicious. The Cajun Skillet was less spicy than I expected, but it eventually grew on me, even though it tended to be a bit salty. The Mimosa Flight was a fun experience and a great value, featuring grapefruit, cranberry, and orange peel, each with a decent amount of alcohol. However, the coffee was incredibly weak, which was a common complaint that seemed to go unaddressed. I consider myself an average coffee drinker looking for a little more strength; the coffee here tasted more like water, and I'm not exaggerating. Overall, this place offers great value and is definitely worth a visit!
The food here is excellent, but the service is seriously lacking. During both of my visits, I encountered a waitress who was quite rude to customers making lighthearted comments. The staff appears disinterested, which really affects the overall service. It’s unfortunate because the food is fantastic, but the poor service really tarnishes the experience.
