Grinders Above Beyond Of Dover

We stopped by for lunch today (June 29) and usually enjoy eating at Grinder's because the food is consistently good. However, today's experience was disappointing. Our server was acceptable, but despite the place being quiet, we waited 25 minutes for just a wrap and a salad! The manager on duty seemed completely unaware of the customers' needs. I noticed three other tables waiting for their checks, and they eventually just went to the register to pay and leave. The manager didn't approach any tables or explain the delay with our food, despite being able to see we had nothing. The Louisville location never has this issue! I won't be returning to the Dover location.

Alyssa, my server, was fantastic! She had a wonderful personality, was very friendly, and really knew her stuff! Definitely a 5-star experience!

It was one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever tasted. I requested just meat and mayo, but they accidentally added bacon. This turned out to be the best mistake ever, as I can’t imagine ordering it without bacon from now on. It was incredible!

Service is terrible. We waited 15 minutes to even be greeted at our table and order drinks. Our waitress visited another table 3 times before coming to greet us. We received our food before getting our appetizer since they evidentially “forgot to put them in.” Also had a side forgotten. She never came back to check on us until we were completely done eating. Never got refills on our drinks or offered dessert. At that point we had been there over an hour and just ready to go home. Don’t think we’ll be back to this location!

Perfect portion sizes, no long wait for food, attentive service and reasonable prices, would definitely recommend it
