Abc Donuts - Downey

Fortunately, in early 2008, I was lucky enough to run into Sam, the owner, and learned that he had moved his business to the city of Downey under the name ABC Donuts. To clarify, the shop he had before was in Norwalk. It was great to know that Sam’s business was still thriving and that his donuts were just as good as I remembered. After catching up, I promised to visit his new shop, although I still haven’t made it there yet! How could I check out a place I hadn’t been to physically? However, every so often, Sam stops by my workplace with pints of fresh milk, chocolate milk from Norwalk Dairy, and nondairy coffee creamer, along with a whole box of his freshly made donuts—yes, a whole box! That kind of kindness and generosity is rare these days, and I’m always grateful for the chance to enjoy these donuts with my family. Now, I’m not knocking Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme, but I've made my choice. Sam’s donuts are a testament to hard work and dedication. I don’t know how hard it is to make donuts, but I do know Sam starts his day at 4:00 AM—I got that straight from him! If you find yourself in Downey or nearby, make sure to stop by when you’re in the mood for donuts. You won’t regret it. (Note: This list is by no means exhaustive.
