The Ship Inn - Downham Market

Superb lunch there after stopping off earlier today. Impressed with a very friendly and dedicated team. We had the beef pie and by goodness, it was good! The new owner had recently taken over and there’s been a huge investment there apparently, and it looks like it has paid off. Thoroughly recommend The Ship.

We only popped in for lunch and had sandwiches and baked potato. It was wholesome and basically food but done to high decent standard. We were in the middle of the carvery service, which is obvs mega popular, most tables were booked so make sure you book. Will be back for the carvery as it looked well lush and good value for money. Only 4 stars as need to return for more food!

Really lovely meal and drinks at the Ship! Stunning prawn salad and carvery also rated well by my family.

I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed some great beer with a few members of the bike club today. We requested the chili to be a little spicier, and it was really nice of them to accommodate us. The beer was fantastic as well. Captain Bob mentioned that they also serve a carver, which we didn’t know about—otherwise, we definitely would have tried it. We'll be back for sure!

This is a very nice restaurant. While the menu isn't extensive, the food is excellent. The rindburger tasted fresh and perfectly grilled. I highly recommend it!
