The food at this restaurant was excellent. The pub had a nice, airy atmosphere and the experience was very enjoyable. The pints were also great. I would highly recommend this spot. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

During our walk in Drogheda, my wife and I came across this restaurant and decided to have lunch there. I ordered the Irish beef burger and it was fantastic. My wife enjoyed her lightly breaded fish and chips. The server was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

A nice welcoming place right along the river. Stopped in with the family after a long flight from the States and was enthusiastically greeted and throughly entertained by the bartender. This place was great

I visited The Mariner on Saturday, the 11th, after getting off the train. I opted for the full Irish breakfast. The food arrived quickly and was of excellent quality, the best cooked breakfast I've had in a long time. The waitress was extremely friendly. I will definitely be visiting The Mariner again. I believe it cost €10.80 and included an Americano coffee and brown toast. It was delicious!

Tonight is the 3rd time in as many weeks that we have tried to go into the Mariner after 10pm but cannot as the front door is closed. People we had arranged to meet are inside and the pub is open and serving drinks, but the bar/barman is just stopping customers from entering. Not a good experience when you have dressed up to go out. I wonder if the owner knows.
