Mario's Terenure - Dublin

We had dinner for our family of 4. Food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back !

Seated upstairs in an almost empty space but still seated at a very unsuitable table had to insist on an alternative table. There was no heat it was very cold .

Menu a lot fewer choices than usual. Food looked and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. Same prices as normal though! I spotted regulars just ordering pizza, so maybe this is known locally over the Christmas period. The food was just okay enough not to return; service was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant, place was clean and cheerful. We loved Mario’s Ranelagh when we lived near it, and had hoped for the same at Mario’s Terenure, so we’ll probably give it another go during normal times, allowing for the fact that over Christmas can be super-demanding for the hospitality sector. But right now, I couldn’t recommend it.

Service was good. Food was also good. Nice atmosphere, would go back.

This restaurant has CLOSED down. Very sad to see. It’s still live on open table to book. We booked it earlier and it was closed when we arrived.
