Sparks Bistro - Dublin

Sparks Bistro is one of my favourite lunch time spots in Dublin. It is a family run bistro with a very good range of menu options that are very tasty and good value for money. Today, it was exceptional that prompted me to write this review. I went for the daily special which was seafood risotto. The seafood consisted of calamari, prawns, shrimps and mussels on a bed of lovely creamy arborio rice. At a cost of €14.95 this is exceptional value for money for Dublin.

Good and drinks were very good. Service was also great. I had the lamb chops and my wife the gf chicken dish. Surprised to find a 10 service charge added to the bill. when I queried it the waiter said I didn’t have to pay it. I don’t mind tipping but adding it to the bill in Ireland was a first and a bit sneaky

A great find as we were wandering Smithfield Square. Nice welcome. Good tasty food prepared promptly cooked to order is a visible kitchen area. Friendly staff. Enjoyable experience.

This is my second visit, another great experience! A great vibe and delicious food. The staff were get attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back!
