Maredo - Düsseldorf

I visited the restaurant last week when staying a night in Duesseldorf for work. I ordered salmon and asparagus and was not impressed. Maredo is usually a good address for a good meal. Not sure if I would go back.

Had fillet steak and it was great. Good choice of sides and salad bar starter All was excellent, reasonably priced and with great service

Very flexible, friendly and helpful service! the steaks were perfect as expected, but they should be a little bigger and more lovingly prepared. otherwise everything was good

For a late dinner we had no surprise at Maredo. A steakhouse chain with somehow a cafeteria atmosphere. Functional uncozy setting but average service and good price. Not gastro but solid standard dishes like garlic bread, onion rings, fajitas, salad bar, steaks, Maredo burger, fries, apfelstrudel. Charmless but convenient.

Perhaps the waiter, mohamed, has a lot to do with it, but I have noticed a significant improvement since the last time!Also as appetizer as well as main dish (example follows!), they suggest steak tartar: a delicious dish! I have tried the appetizer with some rocket salad, a meat that is slightly marinated and very delicate.The rib-eye steak is offered up to 400gr on the menu, but they can order up to 600gr! a pass meat and especially masterfully prepared. Enjoy a very good meat well served and a perfect service! I'll be happy to come back if they go on like this!
