Vanilla Bean Duluth

Thought we were in for a treat with reviews and pictures. Sadly mistaken though. Started off with a cinnamon roll that was completely dry and burnt. One bite was enough to slide it to the edge of the table. Thankfully they took that off the bill. Then came the buttermilk pancakes. Honestly the butter and syrup was the best part. The homemade pancakes lacked flavor and tasted like cardboard with butter and syrup. The coffees sounded good and originally we were going to order a couple to go coffees but after two strikes we paid our bill and left. Service was good and friendly. I was thankful that the waitress deducted the cinnamon roll, but I definitely would not return here for breakfast.

Wonderful all day breakfast joint. The food selection was limited but what they do have is delicious. What threw me off is the place looks like a coffee shop, is named like a coffee shop but yet it is a breakfast place with a full bar. The place is currently closing at 3 PM yet they have a bar. My Dad and I visited the Vanilla Bean Restaurant in June and I have wanted to write a review since. Both their food and their coffee beverages are delicious! I ordered the Wild Rice Porridge with pecans and berries which was full of great flavor! Even better, they use locally-sourced wild rice! I also ordered the Northwoods Latte which was also excellent! They use locally-sourced maple syrup. I think it is unnecessary to include almond syrup in the recipe, because the maple syrup shines on its own. I scanned the rest of their menu. It includes a variety of omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, and special entrees. My Dad ordered one of their omelets and really enjoyed it. Overall, I highly recommend the Vanilla Bean Restaurant!

I went with my children today for breakfast. We ordered cranberry mimosas and our food, chicken friend steak, eggs Benedict and pesto Benedict, plus mini donuts. The food was AWESOME! The service? Not so much. Meghan was inattentive, and we had to WAIT. Boxes, Bill, checking up. I'll visit again. Hopefully I won't get her. She needs to realize priorities. I was a server 25 Years.

We had a nice brunch. My young daughter enjoyed her giant pancake with the delicious vanilla butter. My adult son gobbled up his burger which looked juicy, and we both enjoyed a large bowl of chicken and wild rice soup. I would recommend for a good breakfast, brunch or lunch! The caramel rolls in the case looked amazing.Food: 5/5
