Leo's Pizza - Dunedin

Next, we had the garlic cheese bread—it was just average, nothing remarkable. Two of us ordered the wedding soup; it was decent but lacked meat, and it was a bit too peppery for my taste. One of us had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and described it as “okay,” though she did say the chicken was well-cooked. Another diner tried the spaghetti and meatballs, which he found very bland, including both the meatballs and the sauce (the same sauce that came with the calamari). I had the lobster ravioli, which was quite good. The sauce had a different tomato base and was very flavorful. The service was commendable, and our waitress was attentive. The food came out quickly, perhaps too quickly, as we were still enjoying our soups and salads when the main courses arrived. They serve generous portions, perhaps too generous, and I believe they could lower their prices by reducing the amount of food. Overall, I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

This needs some clarification. I’ve seen some confusion in other reviews regarding the two Leo’s locations. 1. Leo’s in Palm Harbor is the new establishment. Leo, the former owner of the Dunedin location, sold that restaurant. 2. The Dunedin Leo’s is still excellent. It has a new owner, but the name remains unchanged. They have a new chef, and the food is outstanding. The rolls come out fresh and hot from the oven. I’ve dined there for the past six weeks, hoping for a subpar meal, but that hasn’t happened yet. Karen, the waitress, has provided excellent service. I highly recommend stopping by to try the pizza or any other dish. I rate it 5 stars. RFK

We just returned from the restaurant, and our experience was disappointing. The dishes and silverware were dirty, and the grated cheese we were served had mold on it! The only positive aspect was the band, which was enjoyable. We used to frequent Leo’s years ago, but after tonight, we won’t be coming back again. It’s a shame, as it’s nice to enjoy music and dance while dining.
