King George Tavern - Dunwoody

Was craving fish n chips due to my pregnancy so my sister and I waited for over an hour for them to open being as we live on the other side of town. Additionally, we have had their fish n chips before, and we wanted to indulge in something we hadn?t enjoyedin a while. Being a United Kingdom native, we were extremely excited to get a taste of home. Nevertheless, we received our foodand the portion size was absolutely astonishing, the fish had little to no flavor, and there was literally no flakiness to thefish; almost as if they used a breading not beer batter. I counted literally 10 French fries in my plate and went inside tomake my complaint known to my server as I was astonished by the $17 price (including taxes) for food that would leave me hungryafter consuming. The server adamantly said, that is our normal serving size that I?m sincerely reluctant to believe because thatamount of food couldn?t even cover a basket if that?s what it was served in. I was disappointed behind measure. Not only did wespend a pretty penny to enjoy something we had been craving, after eating, we were starving from the kids sized meal that wehad. Truly baffling!

Nice local neighborhood bar. This bar is a part of the Dunwoody Restaurant Group so the menu is consistent with its other sister bars. The food here is affordable and really good. My favorites are the Lamb Wrap, the Chicken Tenders and the Corned Beef EggRolls. Pre-pandemic they had trivia nights. I'm not sure if they still do this but it was really fun. It was Adult Trivia sosome of the questions were a bit raunchy. Definitely for adults only. Biggest Con is the music. Its always Rock or Country. Iwould like if they mixed in some top 40. Thats the only thing that keeps me from hanging out here longer. The drinks are madestrong but not as affordable as some of the other bars in the area. I would recommend as a pre-game spot or a wind down at theend of the weekend.

The food is absolutely delicious! and the service is friendly and fast! definitely would come back.

I came here at 10 a.m. because google told me they had good grilled cheese. that she does. white russian I ordered was a bit in the middle. how white russians are in general. it is my fault for ordering one.? the riders are also tasty when they are in British chips style. the tomato soup is quite pleasant, but it costs extra what is a bit lame. Overall, this place is cool, I would come here occasionally when I lived close to nothing that wore me, but a nice, cool spot to grab a bite and a drink.

In the city for an airshow with my British friend and we have made a great choice. all 3 meal times were great and the brittle loved the brain cake.
