The truth is this place has amazing food. Needs some updating but the food is so good, we look past the flaws. The Batayaki is our go to dinner with a spicy tuna sushi roll. Whenever in Spokane I go here and then I place a second order, put it on ice and drive 350 miles back home and deliver it to my son who also loves Suki Yaki Inn. We have dined here for 25 years.

Let Tetsuya-San express himself serving you his best selection out of his bar (Chef’s choice combination). Freshness on the proteins and amazing rise mixture. Siting down at the sushi bar and been pampered by the lovely crew with the best treatment and service, house hot Sake and Miso while waiting for Tetsuya-San’d best! Excelente experience.

We had a really fun dinner sitting in one of the low table rooms. Ordered two sushi rolls and the chef’s dinner for three. Everything was delicious! The service was a little on the indifferent side but we were able to wave down our server when we needed drink refills, so it wasn’t like we went without anything we wanted. The infrastructure is pretty rough, with worn carpeting and holes in the wood paneling, but somehow that just adds to the vibe, so we didn’t really care. If you’re looking for tasty Japanese food and something fun and different, I recommend going here. If you’re looking for an elevated or elegant experience, this probably isn’t going to satisfy in that way.
