Bay Leaf Indian Cuisine - Eagan

I had lunch at Indian Zayka today and had a great experience. The location is comfortable and the restaurant itself is clean with a good atmosphere. The staff was very helpful, especially with my picky son, and they were super friendly. I tried the buffet and the food was delicious! I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the buffet selection was smaller than others I've been to. If I could, I would give it 4 and a half stars because the food quality was very good and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Indian Zayka and would dine here again!

I had a spontaneous visit to this restaurant and was incredibly satisfied. I ordered the lamb korma, which was delicious. The waiter was excellent - very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was also pleasant. I will definitely be returning. Update: I returned and had another great experience! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The only issue was that it took a while to receive our check at the end of the meal - we didn't mention it, but the server recognized the delay and gave us a free dessert. This level of service is impressive. This restaurant has become my favorite local Indian spot. Update: I have been back a few times since, and although it is still good, it seems like the quality has slightly declined. The food wasn't as great, and we received Styrofoam takeout containers instead of the aluminum foil ones we had gotten before. These changes have led me to bring my rating down to four stars. In short, it is still good, but there may have been a slight decrease in quality.

I never expected to find a place like this hidden in a strip mall, so it was a pleasant surprise. It's a good Indian restaurant near us! We found the family and staff to be very friendly and courteous every time we visited. The buffet line is fresh and full (I like that it is separated by veggie entrees, meat entrees, and dessert elements). The carrot pudding was amazing, and the rice pudding was even better. I loved the fresh side salad and dressing options. The Mango Lassis were delicious and quickly brought to the table. The place is clean and not too big, usually full but not crowded, making it easy to dine in and take our time without feeling rushed. There were many Indian customers, which to me indicates authenticity and quality. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality and overall value are excellent!

Only ever been to the lunch buffet, but every dish I tried was excellent. Buffet price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you can have. The devilish chicken is great, a really interesting sweet/spicy dish. Even if you buy in the service/price complaints of other new reviewers, I would say give the lunch buffet an attempt.

I really have enjoyed this restaurant. I've eaten in and gotten take out, and every time the food has been delicious. I had been going to Persis whenever I was in the mood for Indian cuisine, but after eating here, Indian Zayka has become my new favorite.
