Matanuska Brewing Company - Eagle River

Food was decent but the service was very slow. I'll be back to try it again, but don't have huge expectations.

It's always a great time at Matanuska Brewing Company! The service is great, beers are awesome and there's a great selection on tap that they brew themselves. We love the Backcountry blueberry ale..it's soo good!! They have an extensive selection of local beers that's a must check out and taste..can't stress it enough! They also host great concerts here..parking isn't great..definitely plan ahead! Food is perfect for beers! Pizza and pub food..can't go wrong. Ambiance is perfect for casual dinner night with a cold glass. This place does get packed fairly quick during dinner rush..but perfect time to drink beer and wait for a table. We love this place! Definitely will be back! P.S: highly recommend taking a beer growler to go! Worth it.

Food tastes great, but only when they happen to cook it correctly or consistently. We have had nothing but problems with the food over the years. They've lost our ticket a couple times. The meals often seem to change in the way they are cooked, assembled, or the ingredients change, so that dish you love is probably going to be at least a little different than the last time you ordered it. Makes me wonder if the chefs are allowed to take liberty in changing the dishes. It's embarrassing when I bring out of town guests. I cross my fingers every time hoping it's going to be good this time. Seems to trend positively only about 1/3 of the time. Literally the only reason I keep going back is for the chicken and brussels. I'm obsessed. I've only got raw brussels once so far ‍ Today, the fries were so dried out they were hollow inside! Lol

We came here after church. They have a few eggs benedicts on the menu, but none with salmon. I ordered the prime French dip and fries served with au ju. The portion was huge and took the other half back to where I'm staying. They had 3 different football games on and got to watch MN Vikings lose to the Chargers. They have a large selection of beers. Their clothing is also available at Walmart.
