Wimborne Tandoori - East Dorset

We ordered fish and chips online for a 6:15pm pick-up. We arrived at the restaurant, stood in line while practicing social distancing, and collected our order on time. The meal was absolutely delicious and made for an excellent evening. Thank you!

The staff at this restaurant have not been very friendly during our recent visits. It seems like they view us as an inconvenience. It was strange to feel like we had done something wrong just by entering the shop and ordering fish and chips, especially since that is clearly advertised on their door (although it appears they may no longer serve it?).

Have just ordered cod chips. Cod cloaked in a rather soggy batter and chips, of which there were many, which fell well below what we have now come to expect. The chips appeared like poor quality potatoes cooked in a burnt tasting fat, which left my wife and I disappointed. A centrally based fish chip shop is just what we need so I REALLY hope that Wimborne Fish Chips can up their game by offering top quality fish and chips (especially) cooked in the best quality fresh oil, even if we pay whatever it takes. Churning out 60’s style fish and chips will not cut the mustard today.

It seems they are either under new management or going through a transition period. We were most disappointed at the standard of the fish and chips.The chips tasted as though they were left over from their lunchtime opening- with scraps of hard bits and pieces! The fish was greasy as well. Perhaps we should not have got there at 5pm when they arrived to open up and as we suspected the chips were not freshly cooked and probably left over from lunchtime!

Songood, fish and chips so good eell served with a smile, better than that tatty old thatch pub, wey hey man, rock and roll man, so damm good, oh life is so good.........
