The Hummingbird - East Hertfordshire

My wife and I went to have lunch at this lovely gastro-pub. We were welcomed by a man with a charming accent. The interior design and decorations (including gorgeous cherry blossoms) were really stylish and created a cozy atmosphere. The burger they served was fantastic, according to my wife. I opted for the linguine, which was absolutely delicious. We would not hesitate to go back to this place.

Excellent cocktails and delicious food. service was also brilliant! you just have to remember making a booking in advance to avoid disappointment!

My family and I had a wonderful dinner at Mother's. In addition to our delicious main dishes (pig-dog and chicken-hoprem), we also enjoyed starter dishes of empty them breast and salmon gravlax. For dessert, we had sticky toffee pudding with extra sauce that was absolutely heavenly! The service was excellent, and there was a talented pianist/singer providing background music.

They would like to give the restaurant 4.5 stars. There were many employees, perhaps too many, as they were constantly standing around. The starter was excellent. The roast was good, but they deducted half a star because it was dry. Additionally, they were initially overcharged by £50 until they brought it to the staff's attention. The waitress did not apologize, but sent someone with the correct bill. Overall, the restaurant was beautifully decorated, the staff were friendly, and the food was presented very nicely.

Sunday lunch here was excellent. Food plentiful and tasty I had the loin of pork! Desserts were just as good but asides the excellent attentive service the highlight were the excellent tendered cocktails and great value Cab Sauv from California.
