Combine Steakhouse - East Moline

I held off on writting this. I brought 5 people to the restaurant for Mothers Day. When i made the reservation no one told me it was buffet only. The buffet was the absolute worst food and presentation. The service was equal to the food. Too bad, it use to be a good restaurant. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The restaurant was only a quarter full and we could still barely hear each other. Our first round of drinks took 22 minutes to come out and our food took 45 minutes to come out. Once our food did arrive the fried chicken was so salty it was very edible and my medium rare prime rib was well down. The only redeeming thing about the entire dinner was the wontons.

Unfortunately, we experienced a significant delay in receiving our meals, as many diners were opting for the special, which takes longer to prepare. When our food finally arrived, they mistakenly served my husband the Bistro special instead of his ribeye, forcing him to wait for the correct dish while I began eating mine. The potatoes were on the smaller side, and the toppings were quite limited—not really worth the extra $2 in my opinion. The seasonal vegetables consisted of sautéed or roasted zucchini and red bell pepper slices, which were nice. However, when the ribeye finally came out, it was also smaller than expected—about 8 ounces when the menu stated 12 ounces for $37. He had the same potato but with roasted asparagus. To make up for the wait, our waiter offered us a slice of the ooey gooey butter cake (still warm!) accompanied by two scoops of huckleberry ice cream. The dessert was absolutely fabulous and certainly helped to alleviate the disappointment of the meal. It feels like the restaurant is relatively new and still working out some of the kinks.

Absolutely perfect! I had a fantastic birthday dinner and a delicious dessert to celebrate my special day. Our appetizer, main course, and dessert were all incredibly amazing. The service was exceptional, thanks to our host, server, and the manager. I will definitely return and have already told my husband that we're going back for our anniversary in October!
