Ginger Man - East York

We decided to drop into this little place for breakfast with friends. Service was quick and the staff was eager to please. Food was excellent. Cheery atmosphere. We will be returning, next time for dinner.

This is a hot spot in East York on Victoria Park Ave. south of St. Clair Ave. especially for Saturday/Sunday breakfast. Try the peameal sandwich with four thick slices of peameal, better than anything you get at the St. Lawrence market. The banquet burger, I would rate as one of the best in the City. Generous portions and prices are reasonable. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. Washrooms are not HC accessible, credit and debit accepted

This is the restaurant where they know your name and what you like. The staff are down home, friendly and make you feel wanted. The fair is family style dining with large portions and basic offerings. Food comes hot. Decor has been remodeled but could have used a better trained eye. It is a big step forward from the previous decor. No one seems to care. They go there for the food and service from the staff. You just can't beat the friendly ambiance and home cooked food.

Generous portions, prices reasonable, sit down place, service attentive, clean, takes credit cards. Good breakfast, lunch specials.

I generally get into Toronto 4-5 times a year and try to make a point of having breakfast with old friends at this restaurant. A great family style restaurant with friendly staff & great helpings. I always get the peameal because of portion & taste. A must for me. A bit dated & the washroom is "way" downstairs but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment I get from going there.
