Great Southern Inn - EDEN

We had the pleasure of enjoying lunch in the deck of this wonderful pub. The me&u self serve ordering system was so easy to use. The staff were so friendly and happy to have a chat. The food was great we both had the fish...and chips with salad, the food was fresh and tasty and quick to arrive at our table. We highly recommend this pub and will visit again ourselves.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here today, sitting outside in the sunshine, and pleased to be able to use their new me&u ordering system. By scanning the QR code on our table we were able to select our drinks and meals from the menu, place our...order and pay -all without leaving our table. Great innovation!

Great Southern is a pub in need of a makeover in both decor and it's food offering Chicken parma was the pick of the mains with the chicken soft and juicy but the accompanying vegetables were quite average. Salt and pepper squid appeared as a...fairly mean serve of squid, burried under a large pile of average chips and very small quantity of vegetables. Bruchetta came as a generous serving although again nothing special. Wine prices equated to those you would expect tp pay at a quality resturant.

Our group of enjoyed our meals. One had the steak and chips which he enjoyed. of us had the crumbed cutlets which were well and truly deep fried for too long which resulted in them being overcooked and too crisp. I had the...chicken parmigiana which was very nice. The mash was very good and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. Everything was piping hot which was excellent.

The Great Southern Inn was recommended to us and we were so glad we lunched here. We had the seafood platter for and it was absolutely delicious. The perfect amount of everything for people. Our only disappointment was our chips, some were piping...hot and delicious however there were also some very cold and sad ones. We would still recommend dining here.
